About Outer Limits
Who We Are
Built by people who ride what they sell.
One shop, every season
the short historyOuter Limits started the way most good shops do — because the nearest place that could actually fix the thing was an hour away, and somebody got tired of the drive.
We sell bikes in the summer, skis and boards in the winter, and skate and BMX all year. That is not a hedge. It means the person who knows your bike is the same person who knows your bindings, and neither of you has to start over in November.
We are a small shop in Franklin County. We would rather tell you your derailleur is fine than sell you a new one, and we would rather you came back in five years than spent double today.
The people
who is actually behind the counter
Matt Sullivan
Owner & lead mechanic
Matt spent two decades as a mechanic and shop manager in these hills before opening Outer Limits. He is the one who will answer your suspension question, and he will give you the straight answer even when it costs the shop a sale.
In the community
a shop is only as good as its trailsFCCTA trail days
We turn out for Franklin County Community Trails Association work days and keep loaner tools on the rack for anyone going out to dig.
Tech Tuesdays
Free monthly maintenance clinic in the shop. Bring the bike, bring the problem, leave knowing how to fix it yourself.
Kids helmet checks
Free fit checks all season, and a discounted helmet if yours has taken a hit.
