At Outer Limits, the Base Repair service package focuses entirely on physical structural restoration to eliminate damage beneath your skis or snowboard.
The package is specifically designed to target deep damage from rocks, rails, or debris, and it includes:
What is Included in the Base Repair Package
- Filling Core Shots & Deep Gouges: Technicians use specialized polyethylene material (P-Tex) to structurally patch deep gouges and exposed core layers, sealing out moisture that could otherwise rot the ski's inner core.
- Flattening the Base Back to True: After the repair material has cooled and hardened, the ski or board is processed to shave down the excess material, making the entire running surface perfectly level and flat.
- Montana Saphir B Machine Integration (Add-on): For a seamless finish, they utilize their premium Montana Saphir B fully automated tuning machine to blend the patched areas flawlessly into the existing baseline material.

Because base damage varies from a shallow scratch to a major blow-out that impacts the metal edges, Outer Limits treats this as a "Call for price" custom service. To get a firm quote, they require you to drop off the gear so a technician can evaluate the square inches of repair needed on their physical bench.
