At Outer Limits Cycle & Ski, the Binding Mount Service Package is designed to safely physically anchor the bindings to your skis and mathematically calibrate them to your boots.
What is Included in the Binding Mount Setup
- Mechanical Drill & Drill-Press Mounting: Laying out the appropriate structural mounting pattern using accurate mechanical jigs, boring clean mounting holes, adding water-tight adhesive/epoxy to seal the ski's inner core from moisture, and structurally securing the toe and heel pieces.
- Boot-to-Binding Interface Adjustments: Modifying the physical forward pressure and visual heel track alignment so that your exact boot shell length sits firmly in the center of the binding's structural sweet spot.
- DIN Release Setting Calculation: Determining the correct physical release value based on your height, weight, age, skiing style profile (Type I, II, or III), and boot sole length (BSL).
- Binding Inspection & Release Torque Check: Verifying the mechanical functioning of the binding's internal spring metrics to guarantee that the binding releases reliably during a fall.
Important Requirements For Your Visit
Because the system functions entirely around your footwear, you must bring your physical ski boots (both left and right) to the shop when dropping off your gear. The technicians cannot calculate forward pressure or run a true mechanical release check without the actual boot that will be locked into the ski.
